This is the cliffhanger of the century bro. Also I was trying to explain the plot to my sister. Basically it’s a society grounded in death cult rules. Everyone’s super down to sacrifice themselves or each other for thier deity. The king is like a god of war and the “queen” is the only conscious one but they don’t have the power to stop all the bloodshed, only to grant temporary favor to thier subjects. But still they’re trying to change the culture anyway
