I just realised...Nathan is the brother of Nicholas white (aka the husband of karlye brother)
The clue:
- alex said that Nathan brother turn into an omega
- it is said Nathan brother is a lawyer
- it's also said that dominant alpha pheromones may turn a beta to an omega and who else in this author shared universe is an dominant alpha? Karlye brother!!!

Yep, also, Carlyle appears at one point in the novel (they don't talk, mc just saw him) not sure about the side stories cuz I haven't read the last 2 chapters, but at one point they visited ml's house (nicholas wasn't there). He does make an appearance near the end of the main story, when they arrest the dumb f*ck who was the cause of mc and ml's falling out
All I know the novel has a side story, but I can't seems to find it
From the spoilers I heard there's gonna be 'chasing' arc.
