Ugh I love these characters, even most of the villains! Like Blair and his mom are both assholes, but their motivations are complex and coherent. Blair is in love with his childhood best friend, but through circumstances of life can’t be with her and becomes toxic. Meanwhile, his mom is clearly projecting her own self-loathing and infidelities onto Vanessa.
So tbh the only one dimensional villains we have so far are her uncle and the ugly horny old man

Funny enough, in the smut webtoons that are targeted to males, the women there aren't as bad as the josei ones. Most of the women there don't have a tiny waist and are as pale as paper. Many of them have belly fat and different skin tones( and even if there are white, there are not as white like the josei/shojo onses). For example, in the webtoon Sexersie, the fl didn't have balloon boobs + there were plus-size side couples. I don't understand why they do it to the josei ones.
So like does this have the same plot as the historical short story they did, but in a different setting? Even the names are overlapping.
