it leaves you unsatisfied and uncomfortable. it feels incomplete. rape scenes are pretty much normalized in yaoi/bl and readers (me INCLUDED) are desensitized to them. but reading this and getting to the ending i was like “wtf this needs more chapters” i felt so confused and empty because why the hell did the victim go through that for absolutely nothing? i think that was a good emotion to feel because victims in real life do not get a continuation, they do not get revenge, it doesn’t give them a silly happy ending where the rapist and the victim falls in love. in this story the rapists don’t care about the victim, the victim did nothing to prompt anything and the victim’s story ends without justice, he went through that for absolutely nothing. no romance or revenge and definitely no conclusion, he just got raped.
man authors are being so overworked. codename anastasia’s author went on a hiatus because she was hospitalized and now this. companies really need to do something to take care of their authors/artists, even as just a regular person that does art for fun, it takes me hours to draw something really detailed that would most likely be just a singular panel. I can’t imagine doing that over and over while editing and coloring on top of that, it would genuinely make me lose any passion for art
French publishing houses make it so artists have at least a good 15, sometimes 20-25 episodes already made before getting released. And they are better paid too. Those who work with these company are generally in way better shape, have constant schedules, and do better works.
And you compare that to the webtoon French pole who is directed by the Koreans: they have tons of axed series, series on hiatus, and artists with health problems because of the Korean way of doing things. It’s really a mess
Personally I 100% believe is the former. Along with the every 10 day update schedule, this just seem as a tactic to render the "free" coins system useless (since they have a short expiration period) and force readers to buy their overpriced bundles for chapters.
Don't get me wrong tho, there are smaller companies who do both of this things for the wellbeing of the author and translators, but leshin in particular is just doing as a money grap

if you ain’t gonna play, hand over the damn controller ヽ(`Д´)ノ
