The humor in this work catches me off guard sometimes with how serious, threatening, and domineering these characters are.
Just to name a few examples that tickled my funny bone recently is how Chiron dissed Casimir’s way of reporting, and the nameless king’s lone tear trying to teach Yona their dress code lmao
Oh, and the lads’ friendship xD the way Jin’s veins were popping on his forehead and his hand whilst trying to stop his mouth from spouting curses at his beloved friends xD Might I say Veradin is definitely the glue keeping their friendship together no? XD
I saw the animation first and along with the title, ngl it got me curious and hyped me up a bit.
Well……… let’s just say my expectations weren’t met and there was a lot of wtf whilst reading….just relieved that I surprisingly finished and move on xD
I read this when the early chapters were out and the most memorable funniest one that stuck to me was that with one look, the emperor and the empress knew that they were of the same kind, and a hand five to solidify it xD

I don’t know what started this trope but BL side story of sadistic beauty, Lima Syndrome, and this were surely inspired by something or each other… I think the first one was a bit “aahhh” for me xD no kidding. If I’m not mistaken, one of those works shook me in terror because the seme hired goons to attempt to grape or outright grape the uke, and has the audacity to appear like a super hero in front of uke to up the affection.
On the bright side, this work’s seme took gentle care with the uke… and not break an ankle or leg and shackled or imprisoned him…. Yeah, that spooked me, too since it was one of the first I’ve read about that trope and I was unprepared xD
The MC is so cool! His OPness is subtle but he’s so manly xD and, besides the first girl which is doubtful if anything more did happen, no indication of romance or harem xD so far so good! I look forward to more haha
