Like, any time he met his son, he only said positive things. When the flower deal happened, he wasn't really angry. Empress saying “the perfume is to keep him away” AND him blushing when the empress was close to his face.
In the original story, the demon manipulates the prince and he kills his father. Why would the demon kill him that early? Why even kill him? Is there any reason to make the prince do that, when both of them are under his manipulation?
I think the demon’s influence is playing a big role in the emperor’s character. I’m not saying he’s a good man yet but I think there’s more to his character.
