Honestly really dislike her too, the whole ‘tough love’ act which was basically not doing any real parenting and just scolding him 24/7, not accepting him and keeps trying to change her son without even listening. If that were my mom I would’ve acted the same as Jaehyuk (just ignore her).

Am I the only one who likes how unapologetically "her" she is? She's actually really fun to write out lines for because she's such an unhinged person in every scene she appears in, lmao. I would love to see her on the phone with any sort of scam caller. I think that would be peak comedy. She makes her own son hang up on her, and mute her calls, and even her own husband is submissive towards her, so imagine how bad she would be towards a stranger that she is aware is trying to scam her lmao I get the hate for the mom, but Idkw I just can't seem to hate her. Maybe because she yells and screams, but never actually does anything that affects anyone negatively. Even in her conversation with Garam, she never told Garam to break up with Jaehyuk; she only told him that she personally doesn't support their relationship. Even saying those warnings did nothing to change Garam's personal experiences with Jaehyuk. It was Garam's choice to be insecure over her words, even after he personally saw how much Jaehyuk had grown as a person first hand. Also, I don't blame the mom for being livid with Jaehyuk; this dude spent his parents' money on a lease behind their backs. Once a lease is written in someone's name, it becomes a contract protected under law, so that money is impossible to get back. Also, despite her undertones of homophobia (the biggest example to me is her being happy while thinking about him settling down and getting married to a "girl" he's serious about, but then proceeds to cause a ruckus at the mention of a gay bar, barge in to his place to confront him about sleeping around, and when he introduces the man he's dating seriously, instead of putting two and two together that the bar incident now makes sense and this is the person who has made a positive impact in his life, she instead defaults to "my son is evil, this has to be a giant sham" okay...) she still heard Garam out over the phone, when she could have hung up at any point. It's heavily implied that she also sent Jaehyuk outside to take out the trash, knowing they were going to meet each other outside. So if she was truly homophobic, she wouldn't have aided in their reunion. Lastly, I personally think her and Jaehyuk's dad exude the most bisexual straight couple energy I've ever seen lol
