There's never an inbetween with side couples. They either overshadow the main couple with how good their chemistry is, or completely trainweck a portion of the story for being complete ass/mid and it's a pain to wait out the end of their arc so we get back our main couple. In this case, the side couple is def leaning towards the latter lol

Iirc in the novel there was a very dub-con/r word intercourse scene in the first few chapters after the prince asked mc for an aphrodisiac. After that, I just resorted to skimming through it out of morbid curiosity. (The prince literally says he fell for mc after mc started putting a wall between them, yk the whole thing of him acting very blasé about the situation. Mind you this was right after throwing himself at the mc.) It's basically every smut villainess isekai manga except BL version, so if that's your thing and you dgaf about the very questionable first time, this will probably be your thing.
I will say there's a ton of extras so I wonder if the manga will just adapt the main story, or main story + extras + extras of side couples?
