I would hate this as a conclusive ending because the red-head isn't dead yet, and the ML still has serious separation anxiety that I would like to see be addressed. I think it'd also be interesting for them to explore the rep ructions of MLs fuck-ass behaviour at the earlier start of the season in the MC like how they did in the side stories of Kiss Me Liar or, way more explicitly, in A Starry Night, so we can get a longer redemptive arc; I'd rather side-stories than a whole new season though because I fear too many episodes will allow the author more space to kill all the MLs character development and have him borderline (if not just blatantly) SA the MC again.
I love this story so much. I love it. It's so good; she (MC) is intelligent, not dim-witted, just a little air-headed and infatuated. The romance isn't rushed. The antagonists aren't necessarily evil, either, or one-dimensional. It's clear we're reaching the ending, and I don't feel like it's rushed. This is all my opinion, obviously, but I recommend it as a good, light-hearted and mostly fluffy read with a consistent plot and characters. I think most people want a very brutal, cold and almost Mary-Sue like character for the MC, but I love Shu'er, she's so cute.
The summary is similar to For My Derelict Lover/For My Abandoned Love, but the MCs and MLs are quite different, IMO, as is the entire plot.
Maybe I'm a terrible person but this is one of the FEW stories where I want the MC to sleep w/ someone else. Like...he's (ML's) such a whore, and they aren't exclusive, and I want the MC to have experience. But to be fair, I think Pittosporum is one of the few stories where I'm not at least somewhat bothered by the difference in experience. (I'm not the biggest fan of virgin vs sleeps around a lot; Roses and Champagne is a story where idc, for instance, that Tsar is a whore because at least Leewon ahs some experience, though significantly less.)
SURELY, I'm not dead ass seeing people justify what's happening to the MC for committing the cardinal sin of overstepping the MLs boundary trying to get him to eat with his family. SURELY not after the terrible way the ML is treating him. SURELY, not acting like he needs further isolation, a ten hour beating, and perhaps the devil to crap on his head for being a little ignorant... SURELY NOT?????
I don't want this guy to get any sort of happy anything after he violently r*ped Joon tf. I had to skip that part of the chapter. Give Joon a pretty boy who listens to him, or give me back the main couple. I'd rather see the CEO fuck the ugly manager, honestly.
sadly, it seems like this is where it's going. joon initiating the sex for the first time and daewoo getting all happy and shit cuz he think he's been forgiven like it will magically erase the grape that he did. they didn't even discussed it in the main story so it's highkey annoying to know they will fuck again
I've suspended my disbelief to an egregious point in this story, and it is the only reason I can ignore the disgusting age gap. I also think that the fact that I know the ML isn't technically a pedo (as in, doesn't have the paraphilia) but just a deplorable human being makes it a tad easier to swallow. The heavy focus on the psychology of the characters also helps. Basically, I'm consuming this media like I'm reading a pure psychological work and not a sweet love story, so it is consumable.

Okay, so maybe I'm looking into things too much? But here's what, I think, is going to happen based on how they set this story up and the clear, brutal angst we've already been shown in snippets.
MC is going to reject ML because he knows ML is very flippant when it comes to 'liking 'people and having sexual partners—I'm going to assume this latest 'exposé' was likely an ex Fw/B of his who's exposing how much of a 'slut' he is or something which will only further prove to MC that ML isn't serious about him and just wants to have fun with him. IDK if he'll outright reject the relationship ATP, but maybe distance? Or triggering that psycho possessiveness in ML?
I can't imagine ML still seeing other people, but if that does happen, he might out of an internal spite, or to feel needed, or something? Since it's clear, he has issues.
I think a strong part of this will also be ML not being able to reconcile with how hard-working MC is, and how jeopardizing it would be for him to get involved with someone like ML so publicly, especially with this exposé thing they haven't revealed.
My issue with dynamics like this is the clear imbalance of power between the very experiences and casual ML and the very inexperienced, and hard-crushing MC; plus it's clear the ML isn't the most well-intentioned person by a long-fucking-shot, so it reads (to us) that he's playing with MCs sincerity/not taking him as seriously, because he's thoroughly amused by MC.
If MC doesn't reject him (which would be feel OOC, but he's also been more impulsive lately, so maybe?) the exposé might make him feel too insecure in holding a steady relationship/I can see there being a misunderstanding with one of MLs partners talking him down and calling him 'next' or something along those lines, especially since while he was sleeping with MC he was still sleeping with other people until, at the very least, that one classroom scene where his friend called out how his type changed. TBH I can see this happening even if he does reject him.
I'd really like to see MC at least get flirted with and entertain the idea of being with someone else, maybe not necessarily go through with it, but be a little reciprocating or even reluctantly willing and making a move for maybe the ML to step in, or something? TBH because of how they set up ML, I would also be okay with him going through with it and realising he only likes ML, but that feels like it would be way out of left-field.
I'd also take a scene of him getting drunk after a particularly angsty moment, and someone flirting with him who looks vaguely like ML, and him going for it since, again, he does have those moments of impulsivity, which is how he wound up sleeping with ML in the first place.
Thoughts and prayers for the next chapter.
