I get what the top is saying about being his equal but when it comes down to it the alpha has everyone on his side while the mc doesn’t cause he’s an omega, he’s in a completely unfair situation and it could so easily be remedied if the alpha just stepped down, everyone would get what they want
On that note, if he steps down, another alpha will just try and fill the position. In a way, he is assisting him the most by holding the spot and attention so that everyone else can see being an omega doesn't hold him back from a position of power.
And it's been in my head that the MC's dad wants him to have a baby not because of prejudice. We see him in the hospital when he makes his condition so he may have had a health scare and thought, "Oh sh*t, I've been a piece of crap and my kid is going to die alone." Then again, he seems to think a lot with his d*ck so it's a stretch.
That being said, I fully see ML stepping down and becoming a house spouse just because MC asks; this position in the company feels like it should be secure /before/ having a baby but that's the plot constraint.
