Everyone in the council knows what the black potion is because it's been made specifically to control the king. Any king and his vassals shouldn't even know it exists or understand until it's too late and they're addicted and so there won't be any meaning to expose it when they crave it so much.

The reason you think everyone knows is because Karas does and the people on his side do and we are seeing it from their pov. It's a situation of we know that they know that we know that the black potion is their doing, but we shouldn't show that we know that they know that we know- so on. Admitting anything will cause them to all play chess on a visible board, while not claiming anything keeps the game of cards beneath the table and in the shadows, which makes it easier not just for the council to commit their crimes, but also for Karas and his aides to move stealthily and plan accordingly.

He needs to make it inescapable for Truyde to take the blame, which means Truyde has to admit it himself, which means Truyde has to think Karas is so out of it and addicted to not take him seriously enough to start revealing his true colors.

Karas is playing a game. He's already immune to the black potion.

The novel was much more detailed during this confrontation.
You can feel Lyle’s deep seething guilt and regret. How he thought back over every dismissive responses towards Haejin.

But here… other than that expression where he covered his mouth, everything else feels… bland…?

The only thing about this story is the way they express their feelings and all but here is too bland like if you read this first, anyone would feel like the story is mid. The chasing arc was definitely satisfying I doubt we can feel here the same?

That’s what I’m scared about…
I really hope they do the redemption arc justice.
We rarely get satisfying redemption arcs from other manhwas.
This one was literally 80% of the novel dedicated to redemption.
I really reaaaaaally do hope they don’t rush this.

Yeah I do hope that but look! Two chapter novel is converted to one chapter here. Like how Ryle would say sorry and everything would change after this was supposed to be after Haejin gets treated and was in stable condition. But here it all happened in a single chapter (also single day), so better be prepared for the worst case scenario. Also could you suggest me some other novels with this kinda redemption?(￣∇￣")

Ohhh “Beyond the Memories” is sooo gooood.
Though the manhwas redemption was a bit rushed, it still did it justice.

Oh and also, MY TOP FAVORITE; Banana Scandal manhwa (second couple). No spoilers but let me tell you. The chase/redemption arc was GOLD.

Nice i haven't tried Banana Scandal though I have seen more edits but guess what??? I read BEYOND THE MEMORIES when it was still ongoing and it is one of my favorites like whenever I felt too bored or feeling down I would go to them and read again and again. Still i wont get bored of them.. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

I am obsessed by Haejin’s indifference throughout the redemption arc too. He never made it easy for Lyle.
And just imagining Lyle walking on egg shells was so satisfying.

ml doesn't chase but he surely falls pretty hard

Season 1 had a unique art style compared to season 2 ngl. It's possible that the author learned better anatomy though which caused the drastic change. The heads in season 2 are more accurate compared to season 1. Also, season 2 has more darker tones of color compared to season 1.

Well, s1 art looks very real for me. Like they felt like real people and im attached to "them". So the change art is a big no in this story if you ask me.
