so far the plot is cute and all, but I genuinely hate the mom ( i _ i )not only is the fl’s background pitiful, even the sister who she sticks to is treated like genuine shit.
You can tell she’s exploited the sister for a long time with how casual she acts when her own literal DAUGHTER invites men over and even encourages it. For the sole reason that she benefits from it.
Not only do we see how invasive the industry is through the sister CLEARLY not wanting to have a very obviously predatory relationship with the director(who’s practically her lifeline currently, being the owner of where she lives and being her source of jobs), and not ONLY do we see her feel guilt for her child(SO MUCH that she snaps at any mention of him being HER child), we see how self-serving this mother is and how financially incentivised she is. This solidifies how unjustifiable the mother is for me no matter whatever her backstory is.
Overall I hope the development ends in a happy ending for the sister, even if she might end up becoming an antagonist since she seems to have a target on ml. Cuz at the end of the day, both fl and her sister were victims of circumstance and victims of their (step)mom. (´°ω°`) pls be happy u two,, u deserve it after so much,,,
This is all soooooo cliche,,(´-`)seriously, abandoned illegitimate child regains her past life’s memories and then suddenly everyone loves her?
I like family dynamics, but all this felt way too easy. I would’ve liked a more slow burn considering the way they treated her before she regained her past life’s memories,,
Like, how come the brothers switch up their attitude so fast? It feels way too inorganic with how one moment they don’t like Elodie and then not even 1 hour later, they love her and come to her every beck and call (*´ー`*)
Karlot especially, I feel so regretful that he didn’t end up being more of a tsundere. It’s odd how one moment he’s so reluctant to even acknowledge Elodie as someone he knew but then the next moment he’s suddenly so passive and caring??
Like, and I want him to literally beg for forgiveness too. Bro literally bullied her and emotionally scarred her for life, how did we let this slide by so easy??
I would’ve wanted a development closer to that of Reynold Eckart from villains are destined to die where over the course of the story, he slowly redeems himself for his past harmful actions (● ˃ロ˂)੭⁾⁾ that kind of development is also soooo much more realistic and satisfying.
And then isn’t Yancy supposed to be this double-sided suspicious untrusting person with a poker face?? I wish him coming around would’ve taken longer since it would make so much more sense that he’d have trust issues and therefore would be more reluctant to go along with the other characters.
These characters’ personalities,, they feel so goddamn bland,, I wish there were more sides than what’s been shown to them instead of just them being grr to Elodie at first but then :33 while staying grr to everyone else.
The duchess though also she also suffers from that, I love the duchess. She’s so pretty and I love that she handles poison,, I love me a woman who handles poison like yes please. I just wish that she played a bigger role though, and I swear she as a character has so much potential, yet it isn’t used whatsoever (≧∀≦)
The duke,, I have no comment, he’s just the average generic ass father figure and like man I already gave up on hating those. I just stick to being neutral now. I really don’t like how protective he is, but I guess that’s just not my cup of tea while it could be someone else’s and I respect that. He’s also ermmmmmmmmmmmmm a certified babygirl so like I understand if there’s a fandom for him out there, but I guess I just don’t find characters like him attractive so there’s nothing to say there. (Or maybe yjh is just that peak that every other babygirl could never compare.)
Now Elodie,, Elodie feels like a cookie cutter copy of the generic FL that we see nowadays so common in the rofan genre,, not that im against it, i love the girlboss thing the genre has going on, i just don’t like the portrayal. Like I wish her worth wasn’t based off of existing ideas or magical powers she was born with or found and instead relied on something else. Just idk anything.
And then the love interests? Don’t even get me started. The crown prince is absolute bullshit and he’s just a printed copy of the guy that was tormented by the og fl until she gets possessed and asks for an annulment where he then starts getting the feels. And then Ian? Bro what is this?? Already being in love before the first meeting? Not my taste. I love the way they twisted stuff around and made it so bro was already aware of her past life, but that’s where the interesting stuff end.
But maybe that’s just because it doesn’t fit my tastes. No offence to anyone who likes these tropes, but they just don’t fit my tastes since I prefer a more organic and realistic development when it comes to romance.
The villains are sooooooo basic too and so predictable I wish they weren’t just incompetent characters who keep becoming the victim of a gag before disappearing for like 5 chapters _| ̄|○
My general opinion? This the most cliche shit I’ve ever read in a long while. I’m probably gonna continue reading though lmao I like the art style and this is a good thing I can read when I don’t want to think. And this is the end of randomperson’s very long rant that was written out of boredom ☆〜(ゝ。∂)

the abrupt timeskip was ass, felt like it was there to only justify the predatory romance by aging the prince up. not only does practically NOTHING change except for the fl leaving the palace, the antagonists don’t do anything EITHER.
I have read up to chapter 49, and I’m dropping this. I genuinely hoped ts would get good eventually cuz I actually quite like the art style, but all I’ve gotten so far is more and more disappointment and a generational amount of plot holes.
ml js brings fl back overnight and no one was aware she’s being rehired??? they just thought she came back randomly and don’t question it except for that one scene with trudy??? how’s the security of the palace so wack that fl’s brother keeps sneaking in when he’s literally being hunted down?? does he secretly have potential in the escape artist industry??? time is truly a concept i guess cuz everything feels so stagnant.
It’s to the point I can’t bring myself to care abt the new plot point with the merchant group leader in chapter 49.
And so, thank you no thank you I am never reading this again.
the only character I’ll be missing is the princess. not because i like her character as its not very well established honestly, but because she’s gorgeous. (heh, what can i say im a sucker)
