So wait…. Alien home world destroyed so they planted ‘seeds’ in humans that grow and when harvested provide power for the aliens to get back to their home world (and supposedly restart it I guess) but when the seed it ready to harvest it bursts out of the human and leaves the host a shell? Just clarifying. Maybe it only does that if it’s overripe?
Only over ripe/over grown leaves them as a shell but since the seed feeds on emotions, after its harvested the person is still a little dulled down for a bit
