I don't think falling in love with an adopted sibling is weird. Especially when you're wel aware that they are adopted. It might also have been normal back then to adopt other children for certain reasons and allow them to marry into the family later
True but falling on love with someone you were raised to see as a sibling is seen as taboo nowadays, depending on where you live. Maybe fine for that time period but still weird nonetheless
