It's so realistic for her to doubt everyone and feel so defeated too, because usually...that's what trauma fucking does. And that realistic take on her character makes it so hard to read. I think a lot of us get used to seeing revenge type stories, but honestly that's a part of the fantasy too, because irl that's not how a traumatized person might react...
