I think they mean in these flashbacks its been brown recently
He originally had dark hair. His hair only turned white when he spent time in the rift. In the first chapters, he just got spat out by the rift, that's why it's white. He dyed it to be dark though.

I wasn't expecting anything but this is a really good story! I love them!
All this is well paced, the evolution in their love you could feel it, even the embarrassment when you notice just how someone starts being important kn your life, and I really like that bottom didnt end with his friend and instead he end up with someone who really love him. It could have been some love triagles but I loved that author didn't take them and demonstrated what a real friendship can be.
