To be sure, but yeah at no point do they seem to hold any special feelings for each other.
Even at the end of the story the Sub basically states something along the lines of like I’m not gonna wait around to find another dom. in essence a statement showing it doesn’t matter who it is, but he doesn’t want to take orders from anyone else. A means to an end rather than picking the dom because of who he is.
And an unsatisfying one at that. You get to bear witness to all sorts of atrocities committed against MC and when he finally offs himself, ML stays with the MC body *now* regretting his heinous actions. Eventually someone puts ML (and us) out of his misery, BUT he regresses with his memories intact, and is like I’m gonna do things differently. Boom, end.
