Hang in there buddy. I'm 20 right now and I'm just trying to live one day at a time. I've had ups and downs in my life too. Unexpected debt, abusive boyfriends, but at the same time I had happy moments as well. We always dwell on the sad things in life but why is that? Why can't I be happy? I was stuck in that mindset but I'm trying to look at the positives in life.
So I make it a goal to write three positive things that happen everyday even if it's something small it's okay because as long as it made me happy/proud.
Today
- successfully made a macarons (I'm a terrible Baker so this was quite the accomplishment for me)
- Successfully made Vietnamese curry
- Read the new chapter of "One room dog" (It's a story about the daily life a dog owner and their cute fuffy dog)

im 22 and i dont see an end to me reading yaoi or manga anytime soon to be honest, i started collecting yaoi manga as well. i dont think you should ever feel terrible about the things that bring you happiness (unless its disrespecting/harming others). i'm so sorry to hear about your past, you are loved i am sure of it. its hard to get yourself out of the pit, but take small steps and make small goals and you'll be out of it with time. its hard 'cause progress can be extremely hard to see, especially when it comes to emotions and such but your efforts will not go to waste.
