Read this chapter so fast and now must wait patiently for the next chapter in a month… But my current thoughts are (gonna space cause it’s spoiler for the chapter)

My first assumption is that they are stuck in a loop of some kind where they technically can only interact with what’s copy pasted within that loop and there are certain odd figures that pop up that aren’t a part of the loop like the Osaki owners, and Tensei, and Kuzunoha. In one of the previous chapters, they did mention a shrine and how the Osaki sisters were glad it didn’t get destroyed like perhaps that the shrine acts as the key to the loop and if they destroy it time will revert or they will be freed from the space. Or it could also be possible that this is an illusionary loop where one person has created a fake kitsune city (as in their memories and perception are being used as a catalyst/blueprint for the fake city not that they were the ones who made it specifically) that people can interact with due to their perception of what each thing could be with again the shrine keeping them in a space separate from real kitsune city. Kuzunoha could potentially be an illusionary figure that was created from the past and she has become sentient that everything is looping or “trapped” in a space and is helping Haruaki and everyone cuz thus regular flow of time and causation will return if they manage to break the cycles—but this really just all in my head right now, I do think there a lot of holes in my theory but that’s why it’s just theories for now ^^; hopefully more will be revealed in the next chapter and I’m loving this arc so far!!
I feel like the anime didn’t do the series justice, in not just the story but with the characters, and I hope it does get a second season because the continuation of where the manga left off the story balances the comedy and seriousness more equally. The further the plot advances, more mysteries are left behind. Like Abe no Seimei’s past and his decisions, and mysteries of those who were connected to him when he was alive. What I like about this manga is, yes, there is funny moments, but it also explores beyond the students to a past that harbors heartache, and loneliness of the people who were part of a previous era.
If they do make a sequel, I think the next arcs that pick up where the anime left off, it would be great to depict character developments and conflict all in one. Like the principal’s reveal and students fighting Seimei’s loyal subjects… I wanna see that animated so much! Fingers crossed! Also physical release of this manga in English when :D

Also Seimei’s dad to me looks like Haruaki’s dad lol perhaps they too were reincarnated :0 (ch 9 is the earliest we see haruaki’s dad silhouette) Also little Seimei needs hugs ;-; honorable mention to the little paper shikigami
Hoping one day they’ll release eng physical copies so I can the collect. I really love how the manga has developed from the beginning until now. Surely one day there is a way that haruaki meets seimei consciously, the first time they met doesn’t really count lol plus there’s so much more to unfold, like Seimei’s death and perhaps we get to see him reunite with douman and his old shikigami! That would be such an interesting interaction because they miss him so much (minus suzaku)
there are eng copies!!! crunchyroll has a couple on sale rn!!!
As the other commenter said, there is an english release. The first volume was published under Yen Press back in 2017 (so almost a decade ago now!).
It’s under the name “A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School”, with Vol 16 being the most recent release and Vol 17 out in March. There are 19 volumes in Japanese, with Vol 20 being recently announced.
OOH? I DIDN’T KNOW THAT! Thank you for letting me know I must now collect ÒuÓ
I’m now swept with desire to hurry and collect them all and wow the eng one is actually close in catching up with releases! :0
