Had to think about this question for a bit and reread some stuff. There’s not much to solidly isis’s intentions when she had Horus because in the beginning of Ennead it says that when isis revived Osiris, they made love bc they missed e/o, thus creating a child. Of course, seeing how Isis already knew then what Osiris had done to Seth, we know that’s not entirely true. She might still love him but isis doesn’t strike me as the type of character to have a child purely out of love. Especially during a time where she is weak and powerless. It might’ve been one of the reasons sure, seeing how she went to the most deepest, wretched places to conceive Horus because there, she knew he’ll be safe and hidden away from Seth’s vision.
So yes, I can confidently say that she did love Horus as a mother but I feel she also saw him as hope for her. He was destined to be the future ruler of Egypt by birth right bc of his father and he was to restore peace back to Egypt. And yes, Horus would help her in her revenge against Seth but revenge is not the only thing on her mind. Ultimately, what isis wants is revenge but also restore peace back in to Egypt and she needs Horus for that.
Long answer, short- Horus’s existence isn’t just to fulfill isis’s revenge. He’s much more than that to her, she might be using him sometimes in order to defeat Seth but Horus isn’t just a pawn to her. Hope I answered your question :)

In Episode 46 she said "I have to use everything to my advantage, don't I? Getting revenge is my top priority, after all." That's why I want to know how you perceive her since I saw your understanding comment about her. She's morally gray for sure but that chapter made me think she specifically needed a son to dethrone Seth, to somehow punish all those gods who let Seth doing coup and murder thousands human.
I'm kinda worried about her reaction when she knows her son is in love or help her enemy. Wouldn't it look like a betrayal for her?
Oooh thank you for mentioning that, I would have forgotten if you haven’t mentioned it.And with that said this just solidifies my view on Isis because I too think she’s a morally gray character, she’s not completely good or evil. She made questionable decisions but her intentions are “good”, since she’s doing this to save Egypt and finally have revenge and a sense of justice finally.
Yes, she had Horus with the intention to use him to help her dethrone Seth, but that’s not all he is to her. I see this as the same thing when mothers who plan to have children so that once they’re old, the mom can rely on her children to take care of her in the future. This is kinda the same thing with Isis, she wants Horus to be king and she has expectations for him. Does that make her a good mother? That in itself is a different debate BUT back to the main point: is she using Horus? Yes, 100% she is. But it’s not like she’s using Horus and doesn’t see him as her son because she does, she’s shown it before how she cares for him. It’s just unfortunate that she can’t really be a mother right now, but is a God trying to redeem herself.
Mojito did confirm that s2 is going to be more painful and hard so it’s not a reach to say we’ll maybe see Isis’s be upset if she catches wind that Horus wants Seth lol. And I wouldn’t put it past Isis that she might see this as Horus betraying her, it’s very possible....
