the first part was actually great tho,, it rlly depicted how a person struggles with their gender identity and the readers can rlly empathize with the mc, and the portrayal was rlly realistic,,, but story all went downhill when the other trans character told yuuji that they cant be a real woman which is fucking bs
i feel rlly sad because if a person who is not educated about trans people read this story, they will think that you need a penis or vagina to be a /real/ man or woman and thats not fucking true,, you dont need those fucking genitals.
i just wished that the author did some research about trans people :((( because the end message is rlly harmful to transgender community by telling that you need to be born as woman to be a /real/ woman which is all fucking bullshit!!

I definitely agree, I was really surprised of how well the author handled the portrayal of dysphoria in the mc at first but as you said everything went downhill from there, the fact that most of the lessons that this manga gives is of hopelessness and that you can't really take the reins in your life looking for a better life is really fucked
You know, I was actually impressed with this manga at first. The fact that the author actually made the distinction between a gay man and a transwoman was a first for me. And they way they portrayed her body dysphoria was really well done-- I didn't get the sense that she was a man that liked to cross dress AT ALL. I was really looking for a hopeful ending, some sort of acceptance of herself, but I left this story disappointed.

oh god im sorry for assuming that, i shouldnt have assumed so suddenly, because of what i said i offended you im sorry i truly am,,, there may be a lot of trans ppl who feel the same as u but there is also a lot of trans ppl telling that u dont need to be born as *** to be *** (or u dont have to be cis) and it wont erase the fact that this manga is spreading a very harmful message to the trans community. i have cousin who is a transwoman she read this manga and told me how this manga made her feel so invalidated about her gender,, just because she was born in the wrong body or she's not cis why would ppl treat her differently? she's a woman too like every single woman out there
