I’m probably dropping, the story was good but honestly the mansion keeps throwing in bullshit rules last minute. And it seems to only affect Charlotte even though he’s supposed to be their target. Her not helping him leads to her being trapped there again if he dies, her helping him leads to her being tormented. They even introduced 3 psychos in the house who are targeting her more than him, im starting to think she’s the target and he’s a character introduced into the story to distract her.
It's normal that it keeps attacking her because her brother is behind this. He is the manager of floors 3 and 4 so he can interfere. She is the child in the diary and this whole mess started because of her and her family but I don't remember the details since I lost interest at that point in the novel. She ran away to another world and forgot about her previous life. But her brother, who refused to let her go, managed to trick her into coming back with the game, it was a trap and not a real game (he did that thanks to the devil I think). The backstory is kinda crazy and I didn't understand everything to be honest, and the story gets less and less interesting once they are outside the mansion. Anyway, inside the mansion Dietrich looks more like a side character but once they are outside it's different, in my opinion.
Well... He was in love with her. Yep. He was mad that she had a relationship with Dietrich (before the mansion, I'm talking about their past) and managed to bring her back to the mansion, from what I remember. She agreed to have a relationship with him more or less, like I remember reading she and her brother kissed once at least. But she ended up running away from him because he is crazy and tried to ruin Dietrich's life or smth. Which did not help his obsession with her apparently. Mind you, she kept telling herself that she was not in love with Dietrich but just wanted to use him to break off her engagement or smth like that, because she thought he had an important position. And before his downfall that was true, but after he was demoted and she got disappointed and was planning to leave him. So she thought she could rely on Johannes to get the same result, which turned out to be a bad idea.
I mean I'm only talking about the flashbacks, once they are outside they don't encounter Johannes. But I stopped reading around chapter 100 or so, so I don't know about after that. I stopped bc both of them became pretty crazy and I don't like how she treats Dietrich. She even tried to kill him, well it was because of the system but still. She had a quest saying that if she wanted to be able to stay outside the mansion, she had to kill Dietrich and herself or smth like that. I hope the manhwa won't follow the same direction...
This may be a minor addition to the story but I absolutely love that he realized his romantic feelings overshadowed the care his friend actually gave him. His anxious attachment issues are definitely a problem considering he has to feel ESPECIALLY special to feel content with the bonds of people around him, but it takes strength to admit you were wrong about someone for years simply because of your own personal feelings about them.
I’m glad they showed the friend in the extra because it’s refreshing on how they drew this story. Usually in one sided gay love stories pertaining to friends, they typically draw the hetero friend as a villain for not reciprocating or not knowing the other’s feelings. I love they made it clear just because he doesn’t like the uke romantically, he’s still there for him.
Side note: I can’t see this relationship being healthy due to the fact they’re both heavily dependent on the other to fill loneliness (or did, they probably changed off script.)
From all the one sided yaoi manhwas ive read I was genuinely shocked that MCs friend wasnt someone who wanted to ostracize MC from everyone because he was actually in love with him all along and was instead was normal friend whod be worried about their best friend suddenly hanging out with a suspicious person
So, she knows who did the scheme against her. Constantly getting harassed by them. Yet she prefers to keep running from it? The ML is literally telling her he’ll help put an end to it and she’s running. Like she is only aggressive when it comes to him, I think it’s because she knows he like her so she doesn’t care about the consequences. These people literally stole her idea, cheated, abused, and tried to blacklist her and she does absolutely nothing to defend herself. Also, the wife obsession with her is so weird. Like you knowingly stole her boyfriend and yet you’re mad at her? Confused on how the wife thinks she’s the victim? I’m dropping, not only is everyone draw like side characters and very flat, it’s super boring. The ML carries the humor, the drama, and romance. If the action was watching a wall dry was a person, it’d be the MC.
I knew I would hate the duke and mistress, but the emperor was a surprise. He seemed so nice but I realized it was only extended to his son. So far, the emperor is obsessed with using people to maintain power, the duke wants power and the MC again to terrorize, the mistress is obsessed with money so she hops around with different men?
I’m not sure if I’ll continue, I never read a story with both of the main characters being pushovers. Usually it’s only one. The way they continue to be pushed around by their families and just bite their lip then feign strength by just dealing with it is frustrating. Not only that, the son seems to have a strange complex with his mother. It’s past mother-son, it’s an obsession.
I don’t think I can deal with the mass introductions to drama that I can see they’re probably not even equipped to deal with. But the thing is, it makes complete sense why they’re so meek so I can’t blame them. I just hate the author gave them such tragic backstories which they haven’t even began to deal with before pushing so much drama into the story.
Within 4 chapters, they already had 5 people coming for them. The only pro is that despite being treated like trash, he still has money to financially care for his household, just not enough strength mentally to protect his family. Honestly, I’m glad I’m not an author. The story would be 5 chapters long because I make a totally OP character just for him to not kill every inconvenience in his life? Impossible. Empress? Dead. Emperor? Dead. Her family? Dead. His crazy brother? Definitely dead.
Not to mention, they both have powers. Yet, they don’t think to use it unless it’s to do others biddings. If it’s no progress in 30 chapters, I can see it happening in 131 more chapters which I don’t have them patience for.
Am I the only one confused? Like you guys got caught so the dude blackmailed you. You literally failed an important test to protect rumors from spreading about you guys but then you proceed to hug and hold hands on campus then go to Lotte world which is a popular hangout for highschool and college students, to have public sex? What was the point of even failing if you’re going to proceed to do PDA?
I love the art and sex scenes, but I’m kind of getting tired of it. Like I wanna get to the plot. Like why is the past changing? who is the rat? Where did his hyungs go? Where is his dad now? It’s so much being introduced but then overpowered by sex. I love smut but they’re throwing in so much for the plot then just brushing over it. Like this man killed you then dumped you in the river, yet your first thought was to fuck him? In no way did he ever think of running away from it all but instead was so horny he kept following him. He’s a thug but zero smarts. You get in the car with a stranger/his enemy, he asks you how do you know his enemy and your first thought was to divert the conversation to suck his dick.
Usually I can remember names but as soon as I finished I forgot their names. I hope she chooses Jino if she does choose someone because he seems more mature and grounded, liking her for her. While the Jehun is simply looking for a mother replacement, considering he was with an older woman who had a family then joins a site for older hookups. It just screams mommy issues.
The way he acts is pretty standard for his age but seeing how she can treat Jino like someone her age then have to revert to a caretaker for Jehun is going to be like marrying your child. He is a typical college student, not stable really and at her age she’s seen as someone who past marriageable age she needs to think about her future. I think the only downside to Jino is that his family has so much pressure on him that I don’t doubt it’ll cause issues if they marry.
Jehun literally made her miss Jino contest then tried to make her miss the awards, ignored calls to make her panic, lied and says he was starved because she was there but was literally eating takeout. Tried to make her quit her job because he was jealous, then introduced himself to her mother despite the fact she asked him not to. Even though the mom was cool with it, what if she wasn’t? He seems to have a childish mindset.
But I’m definitely over analyzing a story with no plot and they just stuff this lady repeatedly like a thanksgiving dinner. I’m just going to turn my brain off further notice.
I’m assuming I’m the only one who disliked it, the fact he was jealous yet fucking other people too. I had to turn off my brain for this story. He realized his feelings and the same chapter had a threesome with the people closest to his love interest. Only thing that redeemed this for me was the fact that they didn’t make the uke just be a nun while the seme was a community dildo. At least they both were fucking around i guess.
Was good but I’m dropping, this story is unnecessarily adding more drama before we can even settle the first situation. It’s like the more she tries to help, the worst the situation gets and it’s getting tiresome that knowing no matter what she does, it’s screwing things up. Also, Adrian gives me weird vibes and the Duke being possessive over someone who clearly doesn’t like them isn’t helping me want to continue this story.
