Theres something so heartbreaking obviously about Yoojin breaking down but theres something even more about how Hyunjae is empathizing in REAL TIME. Youve got the person with LEGENDARY rank fear resistance about to collapse with anxiety and youve got the world's strongest man looking completely helpless for a fraction of a second. The bravado completely lost on the both of them makes this scene hurt more and feel tremendously vulnerable on both of their parts they make me physically ILL

This is a phenomenal 10/10 genuine out of this world story which was slightly ruined by the fact that the romance came in from nowhere after a 3 year timeskip in the final 10 chapters.
We had always known he had a soft spot for Yeonsu but the entire romance being summed up as "Thats just jealousy" and a "oh shit" moment felt cheap. We have seen him gravitating towards Yeonsu more and more and i was enjoying it up until the forced paparazzi scandal just to progress the romance plot which was even more dulled by more exposition that he apparently thinks about yeonsu alot(we barely see it).
If they had graced their relationship with the time it deserved, it wouldve been a 10 out of 10 resounding ending but alas the forced and rushed development leaves me feeling kinda dull. Honestly it wouldve been perfect to end the story where he won the award and hugged his mom while dedicating a 20+ chapter sidestory for him and Yeonsu. And now that i actually mentioned it, thats exactly why the romance felt so dull
The only woman on his mind was his mom with that level of development Yeonsu was bound to lose which is probably why they forced the 3 year timeskip.
Regardless, amazing story with a beautiful tale about self forgiveness and love. Every arc felt like it was chasing something closer and closer to the heart of the soul itself. I was very moved by it all and i cried like a little bitch every now and then.
I agree. While i didnt mind the idea of a romance between Youngkuk and Yeonsu the execution is just very rushed and i would have rather they just left their feelings ambiguous. Still really good overall.
