I read the entire novel including side stories and to me while there were sad timelines in the past, this current timeline that the story is really based on is worth reading. It’s a story of overcoming and going on to a much brighter future. Also, the story is written in progression as hidden things are revealed right to the end of the story so nothing is ever just what it seems. That adds an interesting factor.
