Always weighing pros and cons when it comes to people he decides to interact with. Cuts people out he thinks have no value for his future. Also have no problem using other people for his own gain. Ridicules others privately. He's just very good at playing nice when it comes to people in a position of power over him. And the icing on the cake? He actually really likes Yohan's antics in the end.

I feel like the way he behaves is 1. being a rich brat ofc 2. being more socially isolated and 3. surviving in that type of school environment. If the majority of Jun's school life was in an environment like this then it's no question how he ended up acting that way with others.
I act that way a little bit, like weighing pros and cons with people... but it's mostly from my anxiety disorder and growing up without any influence other than adults who were either very very pessimistic or the reason that the others were very pessimistic. Are you reading something else? i am a novel reader but what i said applies for the manhwa as well because you CANNOT tell me he's all sunshine and rainbows and doesn't have a unhinged side and as rhe other person said it should be pretty clear atp even in the manhwa he's as arrogant and scheming as it gets? He's simply good at pretending to be nice the only sane person in the entire manhwa and novel is taesan give or take

He is spineless but just because he can't really stand on his ground doesn't make him a bad role infact it's what he thinks and schemes which is "unhinged", also I'd suggest reading the novel to get a better understanding of him although it's pretty much clear from the manhwa itself that none of em is sane

Haha compared to Yohan of course Jun doesn't seem that bad. And don't get me wrong, I also really like Jun, his overthinking things are really relatable to me. But it's also true he's in this situation of his own making. He didn't need to get into the "cool group" in the high school. His money and grades could have made him more normal friends and as such wouldn't get into a position where he gets bullied. Alot of his inner thoughts centers on how he doesn't want to be an outcast, with how the current situation confirming all his fears. He just thought he was getting two birds with one hit, getting to be with his crush and be socially on the top. But yes, he's a rich single child brat who doesn't have any real social skills other than being good at pretending to be nice to superiors.
And your feelings are totally valid too, in Jun's case it's more from his arrogance and superiority that makes up a lot of his acts. Yours sound more like a trauma response where you need to find the best way to survive. Two different reasons but ends in similar ways of acting, it's no wonder you feel extra drawn to him.

Thank you for explaining it more to me :) I think I was just seeing myself in the way Jun acts and thinks, and was seeing him through my reasoning instead of his. He's certainly arrogant and probably cares more about his social reputation than actual social survival. I'll reread this again with that in mind :D I also just don't equate his thoughts, scheming, and arrogance with being unhinged, such as Yohan or any bully physically lashing out the way they do, so that's probably why I don't see it.
