Can someone explain why Yoon said karma is the most unfortunate one?

    MonroeHipsPoisonLips May 5, 2026 3:32 pm

because Karma is going to be stuck as a reaper forever because even if he works off his Karma and is going to be reborn Yoon will stop it to keep him by his side

This is really cute and funny but for once I'd like these stories to end with switching. Like dude was in love for years enough to meticulously plan a confession but almost ruined it bc he thought he bottomed?? Would've been great if it ended with him accepting he liked bottoming and topping lol

Can someone smart please explain the plot in the beginning like im a dummy? I just started reading it and im like 30 chapters in and im confused about all the business dealings and money stuff. Like what did they buy at the auction and who is that Kwon guy and xi xiping? Who hired our mc? Like the plot in between the smut has me lost and idk if it gets cleared up or im just dumb

It was confusing from me as well but this is what I understood (spoilers ahead so preferably read after finishing the story)

Years before, the bad old man made youngjin hack into Kwon's company's security and steal the product they are all fighting for.
The product is a bunch of digital files/keys/program whatever to gain access to or control a nuclear weapon.
After youngjin stole it from him, the old man auctioned the product, sold it for 20 billion, but then he had two people in place and stole it again during that auction before the winner could have it.
So originally it belongs to Kwon and Youngjin was the one who stole it from him though he didn't know anything and was only doing whatever the old man asked.
That was his first Shanghai Operation

For info, once opened, the digital product expires after a certain amount of time if it isn't accessed through by the right person. The data is wiped and the product become useless. So the old man got free money and the person who had the highest bid didn't get access. Anyone who wants to acquire the product needs to wait for it to appear again on the black market and another auction happens.

When the story starts, the product is in auction again in Shanghai and the old man sends Youngjin with the two others to steal it from the bidder which happens to be Seo.
Seo was asked by Kwon to get him his product back and prevent it from getting stolen again. Seo works as some kind of broker for all types of good.
He catches youngjin and gets the product but realises it only contains the password to the program/files and the location of the second auction where the core part will be sold. Youngjin starts working for Seo to save his friends that were captured during the operation, and do other fun stuff :)
Anyway, there is also talks with other powerful businesses and other deals being done to secure the bid money etc but we don't care right now.

Youngjin at that point still doesn't trust Seo and wants to go back to the old man. XiPing from what I understand is someone who usually deals with Seo but has been caught doing some shady moves for his own sake, so they are watching him. Seeing that, Youngjin reaches out to Xi Ping who is also participating in the second auction to strike a deal. He gets Xi Ping a way out of the auction without being caught by Seo (cause he will kill him), and he gets the second part of the product as well as a way back to the old man in exchange. (He also doesn't want seo to start a war by killing Xiping who is from another powerful company or something like that)

Back in Korea with the old man, Youngjin gives him the product but starts feeling suspicious. He learns that the old man tried to get rid of his colleagues and that he's up to no good. Seo has also been chasing him and ends up capturing him back though this time he stays willingly.

Now for the final deal. Seo has the first key, old man has the second auctioned product. Both are needed for Seo to finish Kwon's job. Seo also has a grudge against the old man for what he did to Youngjin all these years so he sets to bring him down for good. Remember the deals that were happening? Seo got a deal to broker some drugs so when he negotiates with the old man about the price to buy the second product from him, he adds the drugs in the deal to complete the sum of money (120 bill or sum in cash + amount of drugs that will get him the remaining money's worth). He declared that to a prosecutor he knows so they can use the drugs as a reason to start investigating and from that get to the files from the old man's company which would show his other crimes.

As that happens, Youngjin is waiting at seo's home but Kwon visits. Kwon knows youngjin was the one who hacked into his company and stole his product in the first place so when he sees him, he loses trust is Seo. He injects nanobots (whatever that does) to gain leverage over youngjin and asks that he brings him his product from the old man. At the same time, the old man asks him to bring the product to where the deal is happening.

The deal is a trap and the product youngjin fetches is a fake. The old man was trying to sell him off and get rid of him. Youngjin remembers about the old man's office in the island he lived in and figures he will find the real product and the documents Seo and the prosecutor need in there.

He manages to get them in time, old man goes down. Seo brings back the product that youngjin saved to kwon and gets the antidode to save him. I think the rest is clear.

This is my interpretation so some things might be wrong.

Is it worth re-reading the officials lol Siy

This was the reply I was looking for. Trying to decide if I should read officials or fan translation.. guess I will go for officials with this book.

I kind of like seeing su-ah suffer and yearn for a while why should juhyeok have to give in and be desperate just bc he was scented against his will

Siy November 28, 2025 7:59 am

I started reading the official translation bc I think its usually better but this one is kind of awkward and confusing? Is the fan translation better or are they both like this? I feel like Crispin doesnt fit this characters vibe as a name either

    fwopfwop November 28, 2025 2:45 pm

Fr!! Not only awkward but grammatically incorrect too and doesnt sense. The fan trans is better (a lil bit) but the scan quality is inconsistent and the names are awkward. Idk what to do
