I just started this and I really don't like the ml

I get that it's historical and misogyny was like a second nature to people back then but it's really hard to stomach
Can someone who have completed this tell me if there is any development later on
I just finished it and I love it.
It's slow burn, sweet and you just need to give him time, by the end you'll find him cute and hilarious. I quite liked how they dynamic works, they find each other amusing with their banter and replies. I think the general story It's excellent, the characters are a breath of fresh air and the extras truly beautiful

Okayy, that actually makes me feel a lot better I don't mind giving him time if there's proper development later on. I'll keep reading then because the story itself does seem interesting and it does sound really cute

I haven't finished it yet since my exams started, but it's a fun read.
I mean, if you can ignore some of the stuff that was normal for that time, like the misogyny and weird age gaps, that is. Stuff like that was normal back then, but it's still a bit uncomfortable to read about.
I have to say, the FL adapted pretty well, because if it were me, I would have lost my mind trying to tell everyone that minors marrying someone 10 years older than them is not normal. I know it was normal to them, but I still can't get over it. That's probably a me problem, though.
What I'm trying to say is, it's a fun read if you can look past the historically accurate stuff, so give it a try and judge for yourself.

It's kinda downplayed here but mc is kinda traumatized by the whole thing, for that moment at least
When melmond wakes up and goes to where the mc is, he saw the mc sitting there half naked with a dazed expression and then melmond thinks that the whole room smelled of semen strong enough to birth 10 children lol
I really recommend the novel cuz it's much darker
They have kept things pretty mild in the manhwa
The ml in the novel have a much darker personality
If there's one downside to the novel then it's the fact that ml rapes mc and also SA him a few times like in the latest chapter the library scene was definitely a SA

I know it's fiction, but the culture portrayed feels like a blend of Turkish, Arabic, and Indian cultures, which are very distinct from one another. It can be a bit jarring when a story combines different cultural elements without enough explanation or a clear reason within the world-building.
It's not meant to embody any particular culture but it's hard to come up with cultural dress completely from scratch. I think beautiful aspects of lots of cultures being appreciated as beautiful is quite nice
Well, it's definitely better than most straight manhwas that depict people of color as barbaric. This doesn't feel racist to me, but it is a bit stereotypical. It seems like the author took inspiration from different cultures and blended them together, though some aspects feel more like stereotypes than a deep understanding of those cultures.
For sure I think there's definitely a lot of racism in manwhas and mangas because there's unfortunately a lot of racism and ignorance in Japan and Korea but I don't think bwat was looking for a specific culture because it isn't a specific country they're trying to embody, just taking shallow inspiration from lots of different cultures which I don't really see as an issue. There's no harm in it and the intention is just from finding beauty in the culture of those countries and wanting to come up with something similar but not the same for a fantasy
