The ML is only loosening the reins enough to keep her satisfied, but he isn't treating her as an equal, but instead sheltering her as much as possible. Though he has good grounds to do so, she is incredibly naive. She didn't read any of the body language of the creep senior while he's pulling her close and hugging her in front of her husband. She is purely a damsel in distress, and i think she's recognising that now. Hopefully she changes now, and asserts herself as his equal

I love her sass, I love it when FLs have agency, pride and snark, we don't get nearly enough of that. I am waiting for the backstory reveal of what happened when these 2 dated, and what made her go from naive, loving and devoted to sassy, prideful and unaffected. Cannot wait
because I hate myself. Kloff is such a fucking wanker. I just reread ch 8 and 9, and he knew what being with rapiel was doing, and he was doing it to rub it in aeroc's face. Because how dare aeroc be attractive as an alpha? Aeroc suffered far too much, even though his crime wasn't light. But kloff didn't suffer at all, and he needs to suffer cruelly in this timeline (where he remembers but aeroc doesn't). If anyone has spoilers can you let me know if kloff gets tortured pursuing aeroc in this one? I wish that aeroc turns him down in this timeline, but I know better than to hope for that
