At first i reaaly wasn't hook lmfao as soon as i read " i can touch you but you can't touch me" i was let yeah im not reading that lol
(Now im at chapter 70)
But im quite surprised at how complex and developped the characters are, they don't fit in stereotypical categories since they have many facets thats keeps evolving, the banter is nice too!
And also i just kinda like how the seme coldness isn't meant to make him cool or more masculine. (i find him quite petty/sassy actually lol) We see how it can be both an asset and a flaw in his pro and personal life.
I also like how his issues with attachment, trust and relationships in general appear like a fear, idk the way the author portrayed it made me relate as a woman. Specially since we know he hates feeling used.
And for yunshin i love how as a reader we can see that he can be much more cunning and calculating than everyone give him credit for (and very early on might i add). Even despite his moral rightnousness. He is genuine and authentic but at the end he is still a an attorney at law.
Anyway overall i just love the many many side of the characters cuz it truly make them soo human
also how refreshing to see two grown adults having unresolved tension and personnal problems but an explicitly consensual and mutual attraction for each other. I haven't read a new bl webtoon in a while cuz im fed up with stereotypical,baddly written,fetichizing,horny tropes. Im glad i gave this one another chance.
I love seeing all the different opinions of each volume in the comments. And agree the previous volume was absolutely frustrating and I hated wolsey in it. But also ..I mean yeah he's doing a lavender marriage basically lol. I also do appreciate the dedication of finding another wife that will keep his position as head of family secured but also is already pregnant and in love w/ another man so that he doesn't touch anyone other than ramdane! Personally I've loved the show scandal with Olivia pope and president fitz I just see this bl as the yaoi less dramatic version of it lmao
