Repainted

From what I gather mc becomes self aware that he isn't cute. He also overhears ML and his friend Aoi talking. He thinks they are dating. MC also thinks ML is kind and nice and thats why he lies and says MC is cute.

MC is trying to tell himself that he isn't cute and his parents consider him cute due to family bias.

ML seems to like MC however and goes to pick him up from home and walk to school together. ML explains that he's been spending more time with Aoi because soon they will graduate and Aoi is going to college in Tokyo. They won't see eachother often anymore and so he wants to cherish these days with his friend he has known for 3 years. And He says He and MC will always be together even after highschool unlike Aoi.

MC then asks why doesn't ML work partime for train ticket money and he can visit Aoi. ML is confused and says he wouldn't save money to visit Aoi. Mc finds this weird becausr ML is usually fussy over MC but its weird thst he isn't over Aoi who he is dating. However MC thinks it is becausr ML has matured and is now different. Cue the ongoing misunderstanding.
