My dumbass just finally realized the detail of the cover art with his hair being dark and light. I didn’t look closely enough I just thought it was a shadow UGH so cool the artists and the authors AND THE ANIMATORS OF THIS STORY RLY NEED TO GET THEIR ASS ATE CAUSE ITS INCREDIBLE the art is actually out of this world, and in the animation the transition of the main character toward the end with the bathtub is the coolest thing I’ve seen in a while. The music rlly makes the animation as well, I added most of the music to my playlist already.

Oh. My. God. I haven’t cried from a story in a HOT minute this is the most well written thing I’ve ever read. It’s genuinely the best bl I’ve ever read I don’t think anything can top this. I’ve never been so in awe of how much dedication to the plot and the details an author has for a story. All the science terms and very meaningful communication scenes, oh my gosh I feel like I’ve never read anything like it. It felt so real and every time uyun went to speak and communicate i genuinely was so shocked at how in depth the writing went. It felt like it happened in real time like every sentence really brought out the other side of the pov I didn’t even take the time to consider. It all felt so heartfelt and I kept thinking this is exactly what THEE healthiest relationship should look like. The characters are so so well written, and the background story for the Highschool friend actually had me in tears. The acceptance, the self loathing, the immaturity and self reflection was impeccable. I just love the energy of this story not to mention it’s hilarious but can be so relatable and realistic. Kudos to this outstanding author holy shit. Some of the lines said in this story are going on my tombstone.
Bro the chapters are all messed up I was on 129 and don’t know where the next chapter is because the uploads are all weird. I’m kinda over it anyway like it’s just not fun to read abt a toxic literally abusive relationship. It’s not even funny like maybe I’m too woke but I usually stop reading after the top forces himself on the bottom but I just kept thinking this was a crash and burn manhwa either way and the plot is prob gonna be depressing anyway but then the relationship really only got worse. Yuri is so obsessive and I was actually so happy when the friend genuinely asked if Mr. Lee needed help cause YES HE DOES they both need therapy maybe a lobotomy for Yuri. But I think that’s the point though, they found comfort in each other’s discomfort and found a dynamic that works for them I guess. They’re both messed up fr. The writing was fantastic though, the author did an amazing job. I’m gonna go read abt the side couple now because they seem like their relationship is less concerning .

No, it actually is weird. And a lot of stories have this dynamic now, it tiptoes on that line. I like the story, but certain scenes—especially within the context of the story and the past—really give me the ick everytime I reread it. In the past, it is clear that he never liked Hyoun before they were involved, but it’s the combination of the past and the present that makes it weird(er), and how the author chose to regress the characters to a weird mental state.
For example, hyoun’s personality before he got his memories back was far more mature, but once he got memories of the past back, their relationship dynamic shifted from being two equal, grown adults, to a perceived…hm….”mental age gap”? That’s the best way I can say it. A clear example, off the top of my head, there’s a point where, during one of the sex scenes, the Uke (forgive me, is like “oh no you’re going to get me pregnant, what are we going to do??” and the hyoun (who is out of it) cries or something i think, i don’t really remember fully but i know it gave me the ick so bad.
It really does toe that line. And if this were a shoujo or josei, I don’t think people would be so quick to call you odd for noticing the weird subtext.
And before anyone comes over here to tell me “it’s not that deep”, please don’t waste your time. Like I said, I like this story, despite my icks.
