The setting is set in medieval era but half of the things happening in the manhwa don’t follow the medieval rules. Translation sucks because mc keeps calling herself “duchess” when she’s the DAUGHTER of a duke. The aid of the king, who was supposed to send a confidential envelope (marriage proposal) to mc, DROPPED the envelope when a MAID bumped into him. Imagine a literal knight who grips heavy swords not being able to hold the envelope properly + it’s not like the dresses back then had tiny pockets for the envelope to slips off. Also, the maid is the villain’s spy and after memorizing details of how the envelope IN THE STABLE IN THE DARK, the maid run to the villain and informed it. Are there no guards at all in this king’s castle? Speaking of guards, the king came to mc to ask for answer about marriage proposal, HE WALKED IN JUST LIKE THAT TO GARDEN SIDE OF MC’S ROOM. ARE THERE NO GUARDS IN A DUKE’S RESIDENCE??? are there no gardens? No maid? That could’ve spotted him? + the king came undisguised therefore one would’ve noticed it’s the literal king but apparently nobody saw him and he came under the balcony of mc’s room, conveniently while mc was at the balcony looking away at the sky :| oh also about Mc’s first life and current mindset, was she never taught ANY education despite being a DUKE’s daughter??? Even though she has a loving family?? How come she doesn’t know what a queen do???? In her first life, the king “ASKED” her to stay in a castle and kept her hidden and she was like “oh okay >< “ LEGIT?? ALSO does the palace has NO guards (again ik) because when she went to find the king, NOBODY STOPPED HER. Even in current timeline, SHE JUST WENT TO REQUEST RIGHT THERE AND THEN? I thought you can’t just barge in and ask for an audience like that unless you’re highly associated with the king regarding current political situations :{ and then when the king pulled her in SHE FELL ASLEPP WITH HIM. who does that? Especially in a situation where you’re trying to escape the path where you’ll be locked away + get killed and have even thought till the point where even your loved ones might not be safe? She can fall asleep in that situation apparently. I only read till 10 something chapters and It’s unbearable.
I’m on chp 15, and I feel bad for teana. When she was first introduced, i thought she was gonna be the “slop stupid villain” but her flash of backstory was actually good. She’s actually a character with personality and a mind of her own. I hope she doesn’t get in trouble with the emperor :(( she’s such a fun and fierce girl
It’s good and all but I feel like cass is too negligent of all the male leads feelings and another thing is that almost every physical advances the male leads made are without consent… tho cass didn’t seem to mind, it’s unpleasant to look at. Plus, It feels like she’s leading all of them on, because she, herself mentioned that she isn’t all too unfamiliar with the intent behind physical interactions because she was born in red district but still doesn’t refuse anyone’s advances. Tho i understand she has much more important things on her hands so she probably couldn’t care less. But for a person who’s so righteous and claims to have high moral values, her actions regarding romance relationships is abit contradictory. I hope male leads would also just confess and respect her decision and keep their hands off of someone who isn’t their lover yet
Liliana was so pitiful istg she’s literally just a child. I have a sister that age and seeing Liliana crying like that hurts me so bad. Both the novel and illustration authors are so good at expressing the moments.
