This chapter was so bittersweet. They both look so miserable going through each day, trying their hardest to keep going. Throughout the chapter, the silence was way louder than words and made me feels all sorts of things.
Baekhee receiving letters from the nightmare he can't escape and Ilwoo encountering those people, they seem to never get a moment of respite. As they appear to be at their breaking points with Baekhee's letters from that piece of shit piling up and Ilwoo holding the knife to his neck, the first finds the bandages Ilwoo gave him, and the latter finds the spare key to Baekhee's house. I find that really heartwarming, they are literally each other's haven.
I couldn't bear to see them in that state any longer so seeing them meet again made me sob. ╥﹏╥ The way they ran to eachother was so endearing and now they're finally heading to Seoul! I really hope they manage to leave Gicheon and their bad memories from there behind and get to enjoy the time they can spend together without having to worry about anything. I wish the best for them from here on out, I really love Ilwoo and Baekhee and I really yearn to see them be free.
Flashlight was genuinely one of my favourite manhwas, seeing it take this route really saddens me. Aaron acting like that out of nowhere??? He used to be so loving but now he's went batshit and treats Yujin like a sex slave. It's really not that hard to just listen to your lover who ran away, but instead he just had to lock him up, chain him, leave him no clothes to wear and just fucks him almost every day. This whole toxicity just came out of nowhere. Yes, Aaron can be upset that Yujin left, but if he really did love him, he wouldn't dehumanize Yujin like that. I really don't know how they'll go back from this but I'll keep reading in the hopes that this whole situation gets somehow fixed.
