Ikr it makes it seem like the only way to escape from abuse is if someone else saves you from it. But real life is not that forgiving. I wish there was an abuse story where the fl finds peace independently that would be so much more insightful.

She was emotionally abused for around 2 whole lifetimes (the 2nd lifetime being emotionally neglected), you can't just instantly get rid of the psychological effects of that much trauma without getting intensive help which she clearly did not get
