I'm confused. If kihoon's memory are gonna come back bit by bit everytime they have physical contact, then what was even the point of wiping his memory? And wouldn't it be more painful and tormenting for him to have all those memories coming back to him again, that so, bit by bit?
i think the point was that kihoon wouldn't have achieved the accomplishments he had if he remembered all of it. before that he was convinced that he was a walking ball of misfortune hence he didn't pursue yeon, and even quit soccer.
yeon wanted to make sure that kihoon gets to live his life without worries to the point that he's willing to be forgotten.
but since i believe yeon and kihoon's fate are entangled no matter what timeline...
The point of erasing kihoon's memory was because the rock acknowledged the undeserved pain and trauma kihoon went through as a result of yeon forcibly connecting their fates (as he was a rare blazing soul that was never meant to be connected to someone). Kihoon only acted the way he did throughout the series because of his misfortune and the snippets of past life memories he was gaining made him terrified of cherishing yeon. So by making them both remember everything after falling in love, and then giving them the choice to forget everything after the fact, the rock was giving them the opportunity to choose how their lives would play out without the misfortune (meaning they could fall in love again inconsequentially if they chose to) I hope that made sense

Guys is this worth reading?
