I'm adressing this comment to anyone who isn't aware yet, because of age or whatever, but the manhwa here doesn't explicit in any way shape or form : what the bottom went through is rape. He was raped by his close friend. There is no explaining what happened or reasons, and I know that in both BL and omegaverse its nothing new, but here I felt a duty to explicit it.
Also, most realistic gay relationships are "switch" and having bottomed doesn't take anything away from your pride. It's a mysoginistic tale as old as time.

For your 2nd paragraph you need to take into account that this is some especially fucked up omegaverse, not just our world, and that changes a lot of social dynamics.

I totally agree with your point and I definitely can see how it has to do with a fucked up social dynamic but just like the rape I feel like the idea isn't challenged in the story in any way shape or form for now ? What that omega (sorry im extra bad with names) said when he went on a schpiell about never wanting to be with someone who bottomed felt specially violent cuz there was no rebuttal, not even when he did his forum search.
