Ok searched it up... Turns out "inferior to a fart" is a Japanese saying LOL and there are other Japanese fart-centered sayings as well
yep! east asian countries as a whole don't have the Judeo-Christian belief of impurity or shame associated with faeces or gas. It's a common topic in Japan and Korea, people will literally say stuff in public like "I got mad diarrhea today" and it's completely normal lol.
