I don't understand, can someone explain why Jerome had to die?
If I'm not wrong, isn't it because Jerome is like a living bomb, because it's hard for him to control his power due to unstable emotions? Or maybe not
But like why couldn't they just give him a ton of suppression rings like some of the others had and tried to rehabilitate him or something? If he had been in a coma or brain dead the whole time and he just pulled the plug that would be one thing but he was awake and seemed to have some level of cognitive function (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
hi friend! after reading the author’s note, I think jerome actually was brain dead (or at least close to it) all along…the author explains that jerome as a person died 10 years ago and he is now only a husk of his power on life support. I think the reason that he appeared awake and functioning is because they were drugging him with koma. perhaps the koma had given him the ability to wander about, feeling like he was in a dream, but was unable to restore his power or full functioning. in addition to jerome hardly being alive when k found him, the authors states that k wanted to protect him from being interrogated and/or experimented on and, of course, ensure that his power did not hurt anyone else in the future, k and jerome included! jerome was in so much pain for so long that I think k must have felt it would be merciful to end it. maybe I’m just trying to comfort myself because I cried my eyes out when he died, but these are my thoughts.

Not about when they meet but we are in volume 2, and the novel ends with 8 volumes

Hmm, I've really like the story and I'm still invested but I was disappointed with how they got to their first sex scene. Like all that slow burn and him never using his wishes to make him do anything sexual just for their first time to still end up coercive. The bottom knowing he said it expecting him to reject it and being super into it while they were doing it definitely helped recover it but it still. (Him begging him to come inside was whew ლ(´ڡ`ლ))
