I don’t quite agree with you saying that the author served bs at the side story. It’s not as easy as you make it to be just cause it’s a story. I like how the author kept it real. Because on rational level jinhyuk works for a company in Korea that he has no intention to leave and people knowing about sexuality in Korea or other Asian countries is not only about others laughing at you but it comes with so much societal pressure. Just because he isn’t willing to come out with the relationship doesn’t mean he can’t felt dejected about the fact he can’t freely talk about his relationship with Heechan like any other couples. Just straight out calling it tasteless after they got together is idk making me think if we read the same story.

I agree w everything u said actually. And I came to conclusion that maybe I said what I said because I am probably more thinking for ml (heechan) as in how he would feel but probably straight up inserting myself as heechan. Ofc mc can feel dejected cuz he can’t be out w his relationship. But I js can’t quite wrap my fingers around how he ask will you marry me then later not choosing to be out and be with the one he loves. But yeah maybe fear and anxiety probably makes it impossible for mc tho anyhow I js think it’s bittersweet that the side story was js there.
