Your last sentence in your post says it all......you already know what to do. Screw thinking about disappointing family/friends.....your life, your long term career, ya better enjoy it or your future will suck the life from you. Think it over for YOU...simple as that. Pick something else and follow that path you decide....tons of medical career ......
