i honestly don't blame haedam for his reaction, he's been horribly hurt by someone that seemed like he liked him but did not hesitate to throw him under the bus to save his own skin, specially after his own mother said that.
we as bl lectors know hoon is not like that and that he appreciates haedam and that's why we want to see them together –and while i agree they should talk it out and be happy together – i believe he's got the most normal reaction any queer person under his circumstances would have: cut ties and build a wall to prevent from the same things happening.
in the end we all know haedam and hoon will be together, it's sad and frustrating to see the process, but it's necessary.
