Suah came from an Omega family, so he believed he would also be an Omega. Because of that, he thought his future with Juhyeok would be simple. Loving Juhyeok felt natural to him, and marriage didn’t seem complicated. Life looked calm and manageable. For Suah, love was enough.
Juhyeok, on the other hand, came from an Alpha family. Everyone around him was Alpha. So he never questioned his future. He imagined himself as an Alpha, the husband, the one in control. And he imagined Suah as the wife. Even as a child, he had already decided the roles. That’s why they made that promise to marry each other. But that promise was not equal. It wasn’t based on who they truly were, it was based on how Juhyeok believed the world should be.
At that time, Juhyeok liked Suah and Suah loved Juhyeok. But their bond was fragile because it depended entirely on gender roles that were never confirmed yet. The first gender test didn’t break anything. The second one did.
After the second gender test, everything collapsed.
Suah was revealed as an Alpha.
Juhyeok was revealed as an Omega.
From that moment, Juhyeok changed completely. He became distant, cold, and sometimes cruel toward Suah. He rejected the promise they made as children because he refused to accept the role of Omega. In his mind, being an Omega means inferiority. He never wanted to be the wife. He wanted to be the husband, the one in control.
And yes, in their world, being an Omega is treated like a failure. That’s how the system works. What I don’t like is that instead of questioning the system, Juhyeok accepted it and hated himself for it. And because of that, he also hated Suah. He hated Suah because Suah became exactly what he wanted to be. He hated himself because he failed his family’s expectations.
Suah, however, didn’t care about Alpha or Omega status. That was never the point for him. The only thing that mattered was Juhyeok. He held onto the childhood promise and believed that love was enough, even if everything changed. But at this point, the love became one-sided.
Suah kept trying to stay close, even when Juhyeok rejected him. He crossed boundaries. Even when Juhyeok clearly said no, Suah continued, thinking that his Alpha presence, his scent, and his closeness would protect Juhyeok, keep him close, and eventually make him love him again. I get that he thought he was doing it out of love. But love without consent is wrong. Very wrong. Big wrong.
At the meantime, Juhyeok started to use Suah. He rejected him emotionally but still benefited from Suah’s Alpha presence and pheromones. That’s what makes the relationship even more toxic.
Suah believed that being nice to Juhyeok, going along with him, being affectionate, taking care of him, staying close, meant Juhyeok love him again.
So now there is no balance at all:
Juhyeok resents Suah
Suah refuses to let go
One uses, the other insists
Nothing moves forward. Nothing heals.
That’s why I think separation is necessary. Juhyeok needs to go to the judo camp for two months and clear his mind and find a way to not need Suah anymore. Suah can’t keep saving him. He has to let go and start a life of his own. Following Juhyeok only turns him into someone toxic and bad and makes Juhyeok hate himself even more.
All Suah does is follow, cross boundaries, and do what Juhyeok asked him not to do. And all Juhyeok does is resist, hate Suah, hate himself, and use him again.
I completely agree. They need to be seperated. Specially Suah. He needs to let go. I understand having something you thought would be your life change right in front of you and you can't do anything. But he needed that. Or else he'd be tied up to a guy the hates everyone and himself.
