I mean, I suppose in the end they both got what they wanted and he does choose the FL. He couldn't care less if the black haired girl goes off with someone else but the FL he broke to ensure she wouldn't. Fucked up but hey, psychos love too I guess.
Re-read the last few chapters and yeah, he definitely chose FL from the beginning. She's his weakness and perfect half, he admits that. Pretty sure, in the end, seeing her with someone else is what led to him breaking her so completely. He admits he never felt possessive or jealous before her and I'm pretty sure that's what pushed him over the edge. He makes it obvious that everything, including fucking around with the other girl, was all just part of his plan to ensure he got to keep FL to himself.
I got a bad feeling a few (really good) chapters in. I suddenly thought, "Oh please don't end up with that blue haired piece of shit."
So, I looked at the last chapter and lo and fucking behold. We end up doing all that shit that she apparently does just to end up with her abuser because he's a changed boy. Fuck me, man, I can't even read it now.
Eh, if she had been older and into it at first this would have been a fine read but the rape is just meh.
This is a dark romance. That's exactly what it is and it delivered. Granted some communication probably would have solved everything but hey, we don't do that here.
It's a pretty good dark story with a "happy" ending.
