he didn’t know he was his cousin when they first met. i can only imagine how awkward it must be when the guy you thought was attractive turned out to be family

honestly this is the only flaw of this manhwa

I’m pretty sure it’s obvious that it’s cause subconsciously his brain is not accepting the fact that glasses guy is his cousin(it’s the denial faze). Which is a normal reaction. I’m personally not rly mad at red guy, considering he’s trying rly hard to get rid of the thoughts consciously, he understands they’re related. It’s just his subconscious is stubborn.

Even if it’s subconscious, it’s still weird. The character knows they’re cousins, so the story INCLUDING those thoughts is still uncomfortable. Saying it’s just ‘denial’ doesn’t really make it better.

I like how the creator added Indian representation in this manga, but it feels like they did it just to normalize a man-child relationship. Even without anything physical happening, it leans heavily on harmful stereotypes and comes across as both offensive and pedophilic.

the author of shutline was actively harassing flashlight's author for years. flashlight's author has made a statement on her twitter about the harassment and threats she received. kyou knew very well what she was doing
