    Just rotten to MC the whole time
    Pretty much torture, no sympathy/empathy for MC pain and suffering ever... The MC has the every cliche thrown - run away, rapey "friend", miscarriage, going crazy from miscarriage (ML not making it better- saying shiz like you wanted this anyway, be happy) Just ground MC down until he doesn't fight back, doesn't care about his potty mouth anymore, doesn't have big wants. That necklace stays on for years and years... Just shocking him if he's ever too loud, including when he's in trouble ...
