I think there are better ways to execute it. Hard to call it comedic when it makes reader frustrated.
I agree but I don't think she's looking down on readers, I think she's just playing on the same type of misunderstanding people seem to enjoy the first time but it's not landing this time around
Maybe I'm being too harsh and I agree its fun and goofy on the first dozen chapters and now its been *check notes 67chs with the same overused pattern. Its normal for readers to expect some kind of development.

Creator used the same plot device for basically everything in the story until it gets repetitive and expect her readers to just be fine and dandy with it without putting any thoughts into it. Just my two cent.
