But in ch 63 it was no longer a hostage situation by the time the emperor was beaten. Alicia was already next to him and the situation under control. The stupid assassin "outsmarted" him after the reunion because the emperor underestimated him again? Makes no sense for a TRAINED solider with experience (countless victories) in battle. No this is just bad writing
