my best guess for uke's bg is that he loved an omega in HS and they dated but that person left him , ig that prompted him to become this reclusive eccentric artist that he is in the story lmao?
Cliffs Notes: Damon was fwb with an omega that basically only liked him bc of how good he was at art but was also incredibly jealous of his talent. They had a falling out and Damon's brother took the opportunity to swoop in and declare his love. Damon didn't take it super well and tried to "win" him back but was really just being possessive and didn't love him. He backs off after he realizes he was in the wrong and gets drunk at a bar. That night he meets Colton and they hook-up (which you see reference to in this story) but Damon didn't know Colton was already a fan of his art and knew who he was. Damon apologized and he and the fwb were on good terms in general at the end and the other couple are presumably living happily ever after.
This story starts pretty soon after when both of them are at a relative low point in their lives
TLDR: After Minjae (the omega from the previous story) and Damon split, Damon went and got really drunk and hooked up with Colton
He doesn't remember that the Alpha he hooked up was Colton and didn't recognize the name
When Colton tried to get Damon to be in an art show he was curating Damon sent an actor to pretend to be him. Colton refused to meet because he knew that wasn't the real Damon and requested they actually meet. This is right after the meeting and Damon is trying to figure out where Colton knows him from. They have also stared having a BDSM FWB relationship because Damon is trying to recreate that one drunken hook-up he had not realizing that the partner he chose (Colton) is the same exact Alpha he hooked-up with that time.
