I do hope Sooha is gonna lecture the hell out of him and maybe his mom and sis will scold him too... so he can realize he is going to lose her... While Sooha let him be for awhile. Then perhaps he will come back to either see a very happy Sooha or a fucked up Sooha.. the rest of this fate lies on the authors shoulders
I get why people would be mad when sumin cheated on sungji... but she did feel guilty though and she made up for it... the knife accident sumin experienced is enough to make a person change completely and this flashback of sumin going wild is perfectly normal.. trust me.. i have seen it in real life. People tend to change for a little bit, and do lots of stuff to make their old partner very jealous and say things they don’t mean.... og course Seju did a mistake as well by cheating, and she did feel guilty we could all see that.. but she was being just as manipulating and controling as well.. and she did kinda ruin some of sumins realtionships.... like the lawyer, and that redhaired chick... but sometimes real life realtionships can be like that. But if Seju really loved her she would have let her go after sumin was good to the point of dating someone she really liked. Hence some girls before sungji.. but this is a Manwha so that wouldn’t have happened anyways hahaha
I thought seju did let her go when she decided to leave.I mean she still thought about her in latest episode so she still trying to get over her but she didn't go back to her yet.Besides there are some people who can't just let go without fighting back no matter how hopeless it is because they loved them. Before you go biting my head off I know that it was because she was selfish and didn't want her to leave and that other stuff. But I don't think it was the only reason I really do believe that she loved sumin but I think the problem was that she didn't know how to show it.I mean look at her family did anyone in her family actually really showed her any care and love? Then again she probably just couldn't accept it yet.I mean sumin moved on but that doesn't mean that seju was able to accept defeat or willing to move on.Relationships are a two way street after all or at least they suppose to be.Also I thought sumin's relationship with redhead got ruined because the redhead was marrying that dude.I don't remember seju even talking to the woman she was just watching her right? Also what lawyer? So unless I am mixing them up when did you see seju messing up any of sumins relationships. If I remember right the woman kept going back to seju when she could have just kept her out of her life.Well except for when it came to their job.Seju is the purple or pink hair woman, sumin is the black haired, and sungji is the blonde right?
I also think that the ending of original WDTFS shows that Seju let go of Sumin because she still loved her and despite the fact that she still loved her. She even said "Goodby, I love you", so yes, it took her a lot to let her go and there were definitely moments when Seju was trying to make a move on Sumin, even tho she knew that Sumin was happy with Sungji, but after all she was able to let her go.
I think that both of them were selfish after their break-up. Just like you said, Seju was fighting back a lot and I absolutely agree that she had a trouble of showing her love to Sumin after their breakup, but I also think that it goes further than that. There is also a chance that Seju was a little bit afraid as well- after all, after years of torment Sumin was with her again. Sure, they were not in a relationship and had this ambiguous "exes with benefits" thing going on, but during the series you can see how Seju keeps blushing when she realises that Sumin still cares about her, maybe not as much as she used to, but that there are still some remaining parts of her past feelings towards her and I think that she was just afraid to loose this thing as well. This is probably why Seju keeps this forced smile through almost the entire manhwa - first of all, to pretend that everything is alright, but also maybe to not scare Sumin away. And we can see this in chapter 111, when Seju said that even if they couldn't go back to their past, at least Sumin was still with her and she was clearly willing to go through a lot just to keep it the way. Sure, this mindset was very destructive - for herself mostly - but that was her way of thinking. And yes, it is very much connected to Seju's family situation and the fact that no-one there seemed to care about her or love her (maybe besides her brother, but even he wasn't that close with her) properly. But Sumin was selfish as well - she kept calling/texting Seju, took for granted the fact that she'd still be waiting for her to come back, so every time she broke up with someone else, she was very much aware of that she always had someone that was waiting for her and would take her again. Which is why I'm actually happy that Seju let go of Sumin, because she is not a person who should be patiently waiting for her ex to give her a chance and she's still allowed to have she dignity, you know?
Yes, Sumin's relationship with her manager was ruined because this woman was getting married. As for this lawyer - the fact that they broke up was completely Sumin's fault, cause she didn't show any care about this woman nor their relationship.
I know she said goodbye to Sumin, but what I meant was that she should have let her go when Sumin was making Seju jealous, they were still young at that time. Sumin went crazy and slept with alot of women, after she got scarred and got the tattooo. And called Seju or made her pick her up like in this previously flashback and from old chapter. But that would have made this story very short, so of course that wouldn’t have happend~ the author/artist decides that hahaha xP
And the maybe not the lawyer but i still feel Seju did something...but with the red haired chick that was going to get married, got busted by her fiance, and she said that it was weird how he found out. Because she was a VERY cautious woman after all ... and then in some later chapter Nami and Seju talked, Nami told her to not meddle in Sumin’’s relationships or poke around, so i do believe that she did sabotage some of Sumin’s relationships.
Please read what i wrote to ICE, it should be all the answer you want as well . But i know she didn’t get the love she needed, but i was talking about their time when they were young and the break up was pretty fresh, and Sumin went crazy. But seju could have let her go at that moment/time, and that could have been and alternative route, but the author didn’t chose it like that or else we wouldn’t have gotten this juicy Manwha~
Seju.. didnt sabotage any of sumins relationsh!ts.. she simply waits.. of course there is no denying seju wishes that sumins relationship with other women is going to fail so that sumin will always come back to her. Between seju and namis conversation.. nami is just fishing out information as to whether seju is responsible for sumins failed relationsh!ts.. you know reverse psychology.
Nami cares. Not only for sumin but also to seju. Try read chap48. Nami gets to see seju first handedly how fragile.. emotionally vulnerable and screwed seju is. Nobody gets to see that side of seju.. only nami.. at that timeline... seju's heart knows what it wants. SUMIN. oh well.
Something I like about this Manwha is that its super necessary to analyze every fucking thing. If you believe in only what you read you will miss a big part of the story. That's why I tell you that you need to read it carefully again.
Its not said explicitly but I think its pretty clear that Seju was guilty for the rupture between Sumin and the redhead girl. Nami was playing with her, that's true, but she's right. Carefully observes Seju's reactions when Nami tells her "you had the option to choose how to reveal the truth, but you went with the worst posible way. You hurt her.". Seju's reactions says it all.
And in another chapter, Seju says these words: "Im Sorry. I wish you could suffer even more so that you always come back to me."
Seju waited most of the time, but sometimes she interfered, especially when Sumin was in a long term relationship. Its very naive to believe that Seju will just sit and wait while someone steals Sumin from her, and if she did this with the redhead girl, I'm sure she did it before with other girls, I mean, remember what she did to Sungji?.
You're right. This story isn't so cut and dry that you can just outright blame one person entirely for all the pain and misery that's been caused. Both Sumin and Seju had done far too much damage to one another that overwhelms the good memories they had in the beginning, and it was for the best the toxic cycle had finally ended.
Sumin has found her peace and stability with Sungji - someone who can make her become a better person than she was before. Hopefully, Seju will find the one with Won. And perhaps one day, Sumin and Seju could see each other again as long lost friends without any more lingering desire to get back together as a couple.
Seju don't let her go because she love Sumin, but because she realize that her way of loving was hurting Sumin so much and her too. And this is thanks to Sungji, when she says "Im going to make sure that the one I love wont hurt anymore". This was the first time Seju opened her eyes and realized what she was doing all this time, hurting Sumin every time she could just to have a few moments with her. “From now on you won’t need to feel sad because of me anymore...”, this is the first time Seju stopped from being selfish and manipulative, and although I cry a lot for Seju I was proud of her. Honestly Sungji is the best thing that happen to Seju, because it was time for her to wake up and help herself.
Yes, the red haired girl was going to married with a dude, but its suggested in the story that Seju interfere here in some way, maybe she gave a call to the husband and warning him about his wife cheating on him. Seju’s behind the scenes interference to Sumin’s relationships is pretty obvious throughout story.
To understand all of this you need to analyze this love/hate relationship that exist between them.
1) Seju think she would die if she lose Sumin, and that’s the reason she’d do everything and anything to have Sumin back even if she become a manipulative bitch doing it..... And I love Seju, but she is like that sometimes hahaha.
2) She thought she was going to be hated by Sumin for the rest of her life and instead of doing something to fix this, she reacted this way "Well if it's hate all that I can have from you now, so be it", with this way of thinking she start a careful emotional and mental manipulation. How?, she lurks and wait for a chance to ruin every new relationship and attempt at love Sumin finds, and every time Sumin got heartbroken she has no place else to go but back to Seju. And Seju believes that part of why it works is because Sumin hate her, Sumin wanted to hurt her when she herself was hurt, because she blamed Seju for her everything. This is partly true and that's why Seju freak out when Sumin say she still love her. Because if Sumin love her thats mean she has to stop what she was doing to Seju, and love is not enough reason for Sumin to come back for.
This is a very exhausting, toxic and complicated relationship. Thats why im glad they did not end up together. Seju lacks self love. She has to learn how to love herself first and find other things to keep on living.
Shiit, I wrote soo many things lol (⊙…⊙ ). But Seju is such a complex character that I love analyze and talk about her lol.
I like when people write long paragraphs in comment section, so it ws fun to read :p
And it's not like I said that Seju let go of Sumin solely because she loved her, but I do think it was a part of it. Because, after all, loving someone means that you also care about them and this it what Sungji's words made Seju realise, just like you said. There was even a moment when she was thinking "I though like that, when no-one acknowledged it as love" and this was definitely a crucial moment, when Seju realised that yes, her love was hard on Sumin and it was destructive, so as for me, this was the moment when she realised that she should let her go because she doesn't want her to get hurt and because she still cares about Sumin. Anyway, that's how I see it
And I agree, it was suggested in a story, couple times actually! There was this moment when Seju was sitting in her car and was watching Sumin and this redhead with a smile, just like she was planning something, or maybe she already was in contact with this woman's future husband. And she also met this woman at some sort of gathering, when she was there with this guy and heard how she went away from him just to call Sumin. There was a single picture that just showed Seju's smile, which definitely suggests that she was planning to interfere. But what I meant in my previous comment was that, despite Seju's interfering, Sumin would broke up with this redhead anyways, because she was very much not ok with the fact that she was getting married to someone, while dating her. So the way I see it is that Seju just pulled few strings to speed up the process of their break up, that would eventually happened anyways, unless this redhead would change her mind about marriage
Honestly, the fact that Seju was just constantly thinking that Sumin hates her and does all the things she kept doing to her solely out of hatred only gives us another explanation why she became so desperate, when Sumin told her that she actually still loves her.
I think that Seju just got used to the fact that she was being hated by Sumin and that her ex girlfriend wanted to scar her as much as she could, turning their love into meaningless sex that once meant so much for both of them. Maybe she even got used to the fact that from now on she'd be just one-sidedly loving Sumin, even tho her "love" was twisted and manipulative. This is why Sumin telling Seju that she still loves her was such a scary thing for Seju. Cause it meant that Sumin couldn't see her anymore, if before the only reason for that before was to hurt her. And the saddest part of it was that Seju was waiting for Sumin to go back to her and stay there forever, but once Sumin realised that she still loves Seju, for her it meant that she needed to erase her, or at least let go of her and stop this insane circle of hurting and being hurt by each other
Exactly, this. It is a story based on mistakes that Seju and Sumin commit and accumulate over 10 years, to the point that it is no longer clear who is the victim and who is the villain, because they hurt each other so much.
And you know?, even though I was rooting for Sumin and Sungji to end up together since the first chapter, I cant help but falling in love with the story between Seju and Sumin, strangely attracted due the complexity of the characters. They made me suffer and cry a lot but I never wanted Seju and Sumin to end up together, its better for both womans to say goodbye and move on. As you say, Sumin found peace with Sungji, and I hope Seju can do the same, I'll be MAD if she does not end up being happy with Won.
And by the way, in the last extra story about Sumin and Sungji, we're going to have a 3 year time lapse, right? Before you mentioned it, I was thinking about the possibility that Sumin and Sungji casually meet Seju and Won while they walk down the street, then each woman continue its own path with their current partner by his side.
It would be great and pretty nostalgic too.
Well however it went down and whatever reason or reason seju finally said goodbye to sumin I am truly happy that she left and sumin is with sunji. Now I know for a fact that no matter what manga I read I always try to find as much details as i can and pay attention to what they say.So if seju did interfere with any of sumin's relationships and if nanmi did say something about it then I can't remember them. It's been a while since I read the old chapters. It was pretty obvious that they were toxic and they needed to be over. All I hope now is that seju can find peace and move on completely because she deserves it as much as sumin did.Like I always say everyone deserves a second chance and I never really believed that sumin got it until sunji came along and now it is seju's turn.

Hahaha more like 24 shades but i liked it alot~
