Okay I do love this story, and Pauliana is amazing, but I really hated that they kinda kill a lot of people in this war where it isn’t really necessary, I mean especially in chapter 32 where they got this princess to kill herself??! That’s so cruel! She didn’t do anything wrong! Pauliana was wrong about the king being merciful, I am really sitting on the fence whether to like him or not. Why can’t he have spared her?? And Pauliana also helped the girl kill herself?! Are you serious?! lost a bit of respect so disappointed.
Dude u okay? if they actually let that girle alive dont you think she wont seek revenge? shes the only daughter of that bastard!!.. And it will be pointless if they let her live.. dude are you new here?
they kill royalties from the invaded country to be safe. especially that princess' family betrayed the contract and tried to kill the emperor. The emperor is being merciful by not giving her a gross deatg like taking her head off or whatevs

Okay, no need to be rude, it was just my opinion, plus, she was also treated pretty terribly by her dad, so I’m not so sure she would take revenge, especially since her own dad kinda insulted/disowned her when she didn’t successfully seduce the emperor...

Hm yeah I guess... i guess it just didn’t really sit right with me, she didn’t really have anything to do with the scheme... Also tbh even when I first started reading, I didn’t really get why the emperor was so determined to conquer every land? I mean they’re killing a lot of people just for him to get what he wants? (Please don’t come at me, these are just a few questions that bothered me while reading it, otherwise, I do love this story, and I’m hoping for a good outcome of this war, even if I don’t really approve of it )
Well I would assume this is pretty normal for a setting in Medieval Age. Morality is cheap and Politics is where value is at. Can't have potential backstabbers or assassination plots going around. It's easier to kill them than risk trying to prove plots at a time when Justice Systems are very flawed and shallow.

You are not the only one thinking this. The unification by the emperor seemed pointless. It reminded me of colonialism by Europe to the rest of the world. Then not to mention Acrea being an extreme patriarchal society that suppresses women. They will spread those misogyny all over the continent just like Europeans. Nothing good comes from that.
Honestly, I agree with @Erza I'm sorry if you got offended but they didn't say anything wrong. Morality is a social construct dude. Changes with the times. Back then it would be insane to let an heir live. It would mean that your children would be at risk of being usurped. Yes, she was a nice person, but she would have been a pawn whose blood allowed others to mercilessly kill our mc. Morality is an abstract thought we've created and cannot be expected to have maintained the same through the centuries. I'm not saying I liked what they did, but I would have been screaming in the comments section if they let her live.

Hm yeah okay, guess I’ll just have to keep in mind how way back this was. I think I’d be more upset if it was in the modern times and the MCs were killing people who might have not had anything to do with the scheme.
Though why would you be screaming if they let her live? I mean, she was treated poorly by her own dad, and now has to get punished because of him, if they had spared her, I think she’d be grateful and she doesn’t seem like the type to take revenge, especially if her dad wasn’t really good to her in the first place.

Yeah! Phew starting to think I was the only one who thought this. Even though I came for the cute relationship between the 2 MCs, the plot was super interesting, though yeah couple things about it did bug me, but then again, back in those times these things happened

Well, those are my questions too. But well, i guess all the higher ups always dreams the highest. They just don't get enough.
Oh sometimes kings conquer other's lands because their land just sometimes don't have much resources. In this story, well it mentioned that their country is a cold land where crops and other stuff are all limited So they needed a fertile land. But I really don't know why they invaded even the southest.
